The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's mid-range. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to identify your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the push of a button. You can choose an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a problem for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones produce very little noise, which allows you to work or watch television without interruption. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently bumps into it and moves on.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the hidden bin and also washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is an excellent feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality best robot vacuum cleaner with mop vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empty and cleans mop robot vacuum pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best mopping and vacuuming robot known for Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the best robot vacuum with mopping function and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, so you can use it even if you're away from home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a set route.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum best robot vacuum for hard floors that comes with a variety of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots at this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are nice however they can push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's accented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
