Matrix Clean

It's simple to connect the Matrix to your WiFi and get it started mapping out your rooms with the SharkClean app on your smartphone. When the Matrix finishes it's cleaning job, it will head back to its dock and empty itself into the bin. This is a neat feature because it reduces your requirement to do maintenance.

This robot's LIDAR mapping sensor is situated just above. This can hinder it from being able to get under low-lying furniture such as sofas and tables. This is a good choice for those who don't mind that it is slightly taller than other robots. Be aware that this one doesn't come with an HEPA air filter, as do some other models on this list.

Powerful Suction

The RV2502AE is a reliable mid-range robot vacuum that ticks all the boxes. It's easy to use and creates precise home maps and has an empty bag that self-empties. It's also cheaper to run than other robot vacuums.

It has a lot of power. It utilizes its side brushes to push carpet fibers and hair into the brushroll. This stops the brushroll from clogging up and becoming messy, as seen in other robotic vacuums. This makes the machine more efficient for picking up hair from pets.

In addition to its high suction and self-emptying base, this robot comes with Matrix Clean Navigation for a thorough cleaning process, Precision Home Mapping for object avoidance, and a high-efficiency HEPA filter that can snare 99 percent of odors allergens, and dust mites and has two power modes to suit different floor types and the remote control that gives you full access to all its functions. Moreover, it's compatible with voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant which allows you to initiate cleaning without touching the robot.

It's a great option for homes with a lot of space, but its navigation capabilities may be a problem for certain. This bump bot had trouble with stairs. Other bump bots can avoid them however this one didn't. It relied on LiDAR sensors and infrared sensors to map my home but it was constantly mistaking my cat condo as stairs and asked me if I wanted to move it. It also had 180 minutes of runtime before running out of power, which was much less than advertised.

Self-Empty Base

Certain robots, like this one, have self-emptying bases. These bases vacuum or dump debris from the onboard dust bin to an external dirt bin. This makes maintenance easier. They're a great convenience, but they can be a bit messy and noisy, plus they typically require the use of special disposal bags.

This Shark model is bundled with a HEPA-filtered bagless robot vacuum and mop base and boasts a huge capacity. It can hold debris for up to 60 days and does not require daily emptying as other models. Shark's incredible suction can handle even the toughest mess. The docking station's vacuum to empty the dust bin is quite loud.

When the robot is connected to a wall outlet and charging, a beep will be heard and an green light will blink across its top to show it's time to start cleaning. When the battery of the robot is depleted it will dock to its base until it's recharged. It is important that the dock, or Self-Empty Base is set up so that it isn't blocked by furniture or other items and free of obstructions.

This model is a little more expensive than other models of robotic mops in the mid-range we've test. However, it is more sturdy and performs better on bare floors. It also has longer battery life and less maintenance requirements. It also comes with wider range capabilities for automation, like virtual boundary markers. The iRobot Roomba i7 is still our top choice, however it is more refined and durable it charges faster and is able to be caught on rug tassels less often. It also has a higher maximum battery capacity.

Easy Setup
