Upgrades can give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item level upgrade by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each couple of weeks.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to upgrade weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using an button, which displays an image of the item when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and current item level upgrade level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Crests
