1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuums and mops. This wet/dry model includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which offers improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system uses dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind is used in self-driving cars and is able to scan an area of up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has an alternating mopping mat made of chenille, making it much easier to scrub hard spots than traditional mopping. During my testing, the X2 Omni took just over one minute to wash its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was much more accurate than other models that seemed to follow a gridded path around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's with its corners and edges as well as make an "Zambani pattern" across the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dustbin and wash the mop with hot water, before starting another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is simple to set up and start using. Place the dock in its place then plug it in and connect it to your home WiFi network. It takes just a few minutes. After that, you can start the app and start with your first cleaning task. I was able to customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for sweeping and mopping and rearranging the layout of furniture that is mounted on walls and more. The X2 Omni did a great job during my tests, with excellent scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning, as well as near-perfect results in cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first model of mopping from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It has enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, in addition to twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range robotic cleaner that's appealing even if the claim of being a one-stop shop for floor cleaning doesn't come true.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a regular robotic vacuum cleaner from the top with its circular shape with sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated area for sensors. On the opposite side, you'll see a motorised floorbrush as well as one side brush that moves dust from the edges to the main artery of its' mouth.' The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with carpet, hard carpet and flooring, however it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck on power cords, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

This robot did well in our tests of hardwood floors and kibble. It picked up everything, from a single rice grain to several dog food pieces with just one pass. It had some trouble transitioning to rugs, but in general this vacuum cleaner is ideal for rooms that have flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

It is a bit pricey however, if you are able to manage the price, it's an excellent buy for those who want to leave their home completely free to perform other tasks or complete chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning feature that increases suction to take on difficult dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the most affordable robot we've tested to date and offers an exceptional value for the cost. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, which makes it less time efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able to navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping feature was very effective in our testing and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles and bare floors. It also makes use of the smart-pathing software for better maneuverability. It also allows you to assign it to a specific area, and its advanced suite of automation features includes no-go zones as well as scheduling. It lets you pause and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes that have pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. It comes with of side brushes that are angled to reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system that collects dust, allergens and dander.
