I replaced the BCM on a used 2018 Honda Accord. Here is how to program the BCM replacement using Autel MaxiIM KM100.

Connect MaxiVCI V200 to OBD.

Connect Autel KM100 via Bluetooth.

Is the ignition turned on by pressing the start button twice? No

Press and hold the start button.

Ignition is not turned on. Release the engine start/stop switch.

2018+ Vehicles >> PCU Replacement/Backup Control/Smart System Control Unit

Enter 17-digit VIN >> OK

Press and hold the start button.

Release the engine start/stop switch.

Press and hold the start button.

Ignition is turned on. Release the engine start/stop switch.

Registration Conditions

1. No DTC.

2. All keyless remotes to be registered must be here. One keyless remote must be installed in the vehicle.

Press "OK".

Turn off the ignition switch.

(Do not press the foot brake and press the engine start/stop button.)

Please bring one original keyless access remote in the vehicle. Also, remove all other keyless access remotes from the vehicle.

Press "OK" to continue.

Press the start button twice to turn the ignition on? Yes

Enter the number of remotes: 1

You can see the security light flashing.

Registration failed.

Try adding the key again.

Turn off the ignition switch.

(Do not press the foot brake and press the engine start/stop button.)

Insert the original keyless access remote into the keyless access remote slot.

Turn on the ignition switch.

(Do not step on the foot brake or press the engine start/stop button twice.)

Press "Yes" to end the function.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

(Do not step on the foot brake and press the engine start/stop button twice.)

Please keep one original keyless access remote in the vehicle.

Also, remove all other keyless access remotes from the vehicle.

Press "OK".

Turn the ignition switch ON.

(Do not step on the foot brake or press the engine start/stop button twice.)

You will see that the light is not flashing.

Registration is complete.

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

(Do not step on the foot brake and press the engine start/stop button twice.)

Check all keyless access remotes to make sure each one can start the engine.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

(Do not step on the foot brake or press the engine start/stop button twice.)

Now let's check if all remotes are working.

Yes, you can start the vehicle after replacing the BCM.
