WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items which can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display an image of the item at the next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item level upgrade and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for example. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in many places including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via a variety of means which is both an improvement but also a drawback.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it will bring some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It is Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
