Easy to Fold

The most effective combinations we've tested have a simple, one-handed fold that's compact and strong enough to be used for long walks. They're also easy to maneuver, moving effortlessly over bumps and uneven surfaces. Some combos are attached and detached by straps. This could feel like a second step and make it more difficult for parents to secure their car seat properly.

The only drawback is that they're heavy and are difficult to lift when carrying a child in the car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Certain car seat and stroller combinations can be difficult to put together. We found that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to put together. It even comes with a quick-start guide which makes putting this system together an easy task. Other models we tried such as the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2 in 1 pushchair with car seat, and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal, were also fairly simple to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors as well as using straps that cover the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy, so it takes two people to click the carrier into the base, and then detach it.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together, which is quite fast when you consider the amount of time is saved by not having to take out all of the individual pieces. The majority of these models come with a simple process for attaching and detaching the toddler seat, but there are other options as well.
