Find a clean work surface and lay out your key fob, battery and extra keys. Place the key fob on the surface with the Volvo logo facing up, then locate a small black button at the bottom left of the fob. Slide it down and to the right. The cover should loosen and fall off, revealing the mechanical key blade underneath it.

You can open all doors and the rear gate by pressing the unlock button on the key fob two times. By pressing the lock button for 2 seconds, you will be able to close the windows and the sunroof if they are equipped. Reconnect the battery and the alarm should cease.
