Like its name implies, GE’s Profile series is targeted at consumers who want to integrate cutting-edge features in their kitchens. This fridge is loaded with them all including the Keurig K cup coffee maker inside the door to a sophisticated dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is more, I'd expect better.

Aside from that blip, this fridge is a great option. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is uncommon in counter-depth french door fridge with drawer door refrigerators. Furthermore, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food when compared to similar models.

They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings to be a little hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and it has numerous options for customization. It also alerts you when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It is nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill it's an option in a handful of other GE fridges that allow you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to disperse at a time. It does offer an indicator on the display of the fridge to display how much water you have remaining, but that's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit and never changing by more than a fraction an inch. This is essential to avoiding freezer burn. The refrigerator section of the fridge also did well. It reached the initial temperature within an hour, and maintained the temperature throughout our testing.

It also has a large container for storing frozen food, and a separate bin for ice.

Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can control the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your refrigerator from your smartphone. It's a nice way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

However, while the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it doesn't necessarily enhance the overall performance of the refrigerator. The refrigerator took longer to chill food and defrost it than the other fridges we tested. This could be due to its bigger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this refrigerator. They have handles that are sunken on the front, which allow smaller people to open them from the bottom, however they're still difficult for taller people to guide closed without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had a front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a ideal option for those looking to combine the advantages of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with a more efficient layout. Its capacity is above average for a counter-depth model, and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the best counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, which makes it an attractive choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

It's a simple fridge that might not be as appealing like some of its competitors however it has enough features to make a good choice. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also has a large water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice machine that works fast.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits over the two crisper bins. This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also pair this fridge with a smart thermometer for more precise readings of your fridge's internal temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge resistant" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
