This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored highly in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to lift and store in a trunk of a car. It also features a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as cup holders for the parent. Other important features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels as well as two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our push and turn test, it did better than the majority of other strollers that we tried, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The front wheels can be locked into an forward position or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel on our walk along an uneven path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed slightly bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled, all-terrain strollers that jog. However, they also make a broad range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is easy to fold and can fit into the car's boot even with a carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers that we tested but the wheels are a rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and durable. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two kids as well as a shopping bag and other items.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are sturdy and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately).
