This is a problem that's common with robot cleaners, and most manufacturers offer smaller charging station which are smaller. They also fit under cabinets, making it easier to cover the iRobot while it is not in use. iRobot has reached out to us following publication to clarify that the Combo i7+ is designed to be used only with the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution (sold separately). It is not recommended to use water as this can harm internal components and lower performance.

The app also contains "robot health" information, including the length of time your iRobot will run before it needs a new pad or filter. The app also includes detailed instructions, troubleshooting tips, and advanced settings for adjusting the mopping water level and the number of mopping passes per floor and much more.

The i8's latest navigation software helps you navigate your home and easily maneuver around obstacles, such as power cords. The navigation system can also recognize different floors and adjusts its cleaning route accordingly. If you live in a an enormous home, it may take the i8 several runs to complete its mapping process.
