The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It's a great mopping performance but lacks certain of the more advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to map your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your cleaning habits, and recommend automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used however we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models, and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the best roborock vacuum and mop robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app will only inform you if something is wrong for example, low water levels or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to the bin being full.

You can also create or combine rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's clutter that must be removed regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods on the first pass. It can even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you could want. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
