This is one of the best roomba vacuum robot vacuums for those with a mix of hard flooring and carpet. Its standout feature is obstacle detection that cleverly avoids things like cords, furniture legs and even pet dander. It also does a excellent job of cleaning hard floors and removing long hairs that are stuck in the brush.

The Roomba J7+ is unlike other robots in that it can adjust its suction power. This is possible through the app. It also has a good map editor, and a section for favorites. The j7+ is also very quiet, especially on the higher flooring options and it does a fantastic job of keeping up with manual vacuuming.

As is customary, iRobot's top-of-the-line bots tend to perform better in cleaning than lower-end models. In our tests the j7+ was able to pick up more debris on both hard and carpeted surfaces than the 694 and also cleaned up better in crevices. The only problem was that it performed less well in the longer test for human hair that is typical of all robots.

The j7+ comes with a self-emptying Clean Base that is able to automatically transfer dirt from the bin into a dirt bag when it docks. The i7+ also comes equipped with a side-brush and a tangle-free spinning squeegee that are both great to remove debris that might otherwise end up on the ground. It also has batteries that have Recharge and Resume Technology that allows it to take over where it left off in a previous cleaning session.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is a great entry-level robot that can make your home cleaner without the features that are standard on more expensive models. It learns your habits of cleaning to recommend schedules, works with Google Assistant and Alexa voice assistants that allow you to begin a cleaning session with just one command, and can be controlled using the irobot alexa app.

Its dual multi-surface brushes pick dirt and grime from carpet and hard floors and an edge-sweeping brush takes care of edges and corners. The battery will last for 90 minutes and docks back to the Home Base when it runs out.

The top panel features an enormous Clean/Power button in the middle, with Spot/Home buttons above and below. The indicator for the battery level is lit in orange when charging and turns green when the robot is powered up. The dustbin slots in at the back and releases with a press of one button.

The Roomba 694 is great in navigating floors that are bare and sucking up large particles like cereal and rice. However, it has a difficult time with smaller particles such as baking soda. It can also overflow its dirt compartment when it fills. It also doesn't perform well on carpets with low pile, but it still gets an excellent score compared to other robot vacuums that are priced in this range.

It does a great job collecting pet hair, though some hair strands may get caught around the side brush. 5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s is among the most affordable robot vacuums available. It's a good option for those who want a reliable and simple machine. This model is able to remove dust, pet hair and other particles on hard and low-pile floors. It also does a great job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim profile is ideal for reaching underneath low-clearance couches, coffee tables, and other furniture, and it's also one of the quietest robot vacuums we've tested.

But that's all it is It's one of the most minimalist models we've seen, and it's lacking some features found on higher-end models. For instance, it doesn't work with an app, so you'll need to create the schedule with the remote control. It doesn't have an alert for the level of battery or a dust bin alert. You'll need to manually empty the dustbin when necessary.

This model is very sturdy and is easy to maintain despite its low price. It also has a lengthy maximum battery life and offers decent performance on flat floors and in maneuvering around obstacles.
